"I am so glad I happened to be at the farmers market in Solana Beach yesterday. The Scot in me rarely springs for much beyond Trader Joe's or (blush) Wal Mart. But, when my daughter's eyes lit up as I gave her a box of your wonderful toffee, I knew the money was well-spent. The box itself is a class act. Working your own shop is a challenge - even if you're from Queens. But you will more than make it. You have a product whose quality is second to none. And your charm (not real common these days) picks folks up from whatever concern they may be mulling over to thinking how they could make someone else's life brighter - via Magical Toffee, of course. Or so did it work with me and my daughter.
And - on the entrepreneurial aspect: there is a whole genre of literature on making it. A classic "The Richest Man in Babylon." I happen to have an extra copy, so if you'd like it, I'll drop it in the mail. It helped me at many points in my biz. And passing good things on is part of the "formula." But my sense is you may have already read it, as you are no amateur in your biz.
Forgive my prolixity. That's what happens when you give a keyboard to an Irish guy from - dare I say it? - Manhattan.
